Here at Leicester Central Church, we have a Food and Clothes Bank where we collect food and clothing that is distributed to those in need. This programme is currently operating under Covid-secure measures, so is packaged on-site and delivered to people in the community. Previously, service users were invited into the building to collect clothes and groceries. This new way of operating is being kept under review as government guidance permits and the regulations of the church adapt to an ever-changing situation.
The Food and Clothes Bank is manned by the volunteers of our Community Services Department. This ministry focuses on identifying needs in the community and developing services that benefit groups and individuals, including material aid.
