Children’s Ministry
Most Saturday Afternoons, we hold a virtual programme for children and young people to develop their mind and body. Our programme teaches life skills such as cooking, health and even computer skills, but they also gain skills such as self-worth, self-control and discipline. The “Pathfinders” as we call them will work through their classes under the guidance of our qualified church members.
All staff members are DBS checked, and trained to provide the best possible experience for our 90+ membership of children and young people.
Pathfinders have events that run regularly every Saturday afternoon during the school term.
Community Ministry
Our Community Services Department consists of volunteers who identify needs in the community, as well as developing services that benefit groups and individuals in need. For example, we distribute food and clothing, on a fortnightly basis, from our Food and Clothes Bank. We try to emulate Jesus’ example of how he cared for people.
We are also part of the Winter Night Shelter project in Leicester, coordinated by One Roof: https://www.oneroof.org.uk. This means we open our church building to unsheltered people during the coldest months of the year, offering a hot meal as well as warm, dry and safe place to sleep overnight.
Health Ministry
The Seventh-day Adventist Church places a strong emphasis on holistic health and wellness. It’s been a huge part of our core beliefs throughout our history, and the founders of our church advocated many of the principles of healthy living that are now commonly accepted through science, long before these were recognised by science and medical health professional communities. Seventh-Day Adventists who practice our principles of healthy living have been studied several times in varied scientific studies in the USA, and have been shown to live up to ten years longer on average than other American citizens, and to have lower rates of common serious illnesses. If you are looking for bracelet. Prayer Ministry
Prayer is an essential part of our lives as Christians, it is one of the key ways that we communicate with God and allows us to confide in him, make requests for ourselves and others and thank him when we see our prayers answered. Developing a consistent habit of praying is key to growing as a believer. At Leicester Central, we would love to pray for you and any prayer requests you may have.
